Whoa, the Hamachi Kama is amazing! One of my favorite Japanese dishes of All Time, for sure. Hamachi (Yellowtail) Cheeks flash-roasted to Wonderful by Tapa Sushi. We would be hard-pressed to find this Dish served anywhere in the US, especially under $20 and here in Utah. I've been to Japan and have been eating sushi and other Japanese favorites for over 50 years-- still not great with chopsticks, though. It's served with fresh lightly-dressed salad vegetables and a larger portion of Cheeks -- great salad course for 2-3, or for 4 if you want to have a fight over the last morsels. It's usually served first salad-or-appetizer style, but it doesn't matter when: plan on no leftovers on this one. I believe it's still off-menu, so look at their high Specials chalkboards and ask your Server about it. Thank you, Tapa Sushi! much love, -d

Bento Box Tonkatsu review by Darrel
I love most items on the menu, but this one let me down. Tonkatsu should be a nice, moist piece of pork, breaded with panko, then deep fried. Should maintain it's moistness. Mine was overcooked and extremely dry. I could not eat more that 2 bites. Tonkatsu is one of my favorite Japanese meals. This one was not even close to what I expected.
